HOPELESS
ROMANTIC is Shane's first solo CD. It was released in 1997, after an absence from the recording scene for
more than 20 years. Singing a collection of romantic ballads, swinging
standards and two of his own songs, Shane is accompanied by a group of
Sydney's finest musicians, including Peter Locke on piano, Dieter Vogt
on bass, Grahame Conlon on guitar, Tony Hicks on drums and Paul Williams

FATS WALLER PROJECT features Tony Conolan (violin) and Shane Hewitt
(vocal) with some of the wonderful songs of the 1920s and 1930s. There
are piano versions of each song using original Fats Waller arrangements,
and vocal versions by Shane accompanied by Tony Conolan's computer-sequenced
arrangements, with Tony featuring on violin. A fun album for anyone interested
in Fats Waller and the toe-tapping tunes of his day.
